All our veggie farmers will be there.  The bounty of summer is still with us.  Now is the time to buy a lot of fresh Green Beans and other summer treats to freeze or can so you can enjoy the tastes of a Wakefield Summer all winter long.

Our crafter’s have started gearing up for the holidays.  Now is the time to pick out that special handmade gift for a loved one.

Jamming at the Wakefield Marketplace

Ann Hamilton, a Carroll County Extension Educator with the UNH Cooperative Extension, will be presenting a jam making display and demonstration on Saturday, August 21 from 9:00 until 11:30 am at the Wakefield Marketplace. This is an opportunity to learn how to make jam and follow safe food preservation procedures.

Fresh naturally-grown farm produce and products, delectable home-baked goods and unique hand-made crafts are offered each Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., from May 29 to October 9. Many items found at the Marketplace can be given as unusual and distinctive gifts.

As summer progresses a wider range of fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers becomes available. Most farmers accept WIC coupons. Also, toward the end of each month, demonstrations are provided. Fiber Arts Day will be held in September.
